Seems like a smear campaign to me. The two-party system makes it virtually impossible for third party candidates to gain any traction in this system. Our media like The New Republic which is complicit in perpetual war, regime change, and genocide never covers the policy and ideology of third party candidates but is happy to make personal attacks on them. This particular attack is motivated by new internal polling that shows Stein winning hundreds of thousands of votes in several swing states, so the Democratic Party propaganda machine has to swing into full gear to keep the wars going and the money flowing. The reaL issue is not an anti-war, pro-environmental, pro-worker candidate. The issue is the militaristic, nationalistic, Islamaphobic, McCarthyist, Zionist surveillance state candidate. https://barryjkaufmando.substack.com/p/dick-cheneys-kind-of-democrat

I was a Green before I moved east from San Francisco, and uses to dream that the GOP would implode and we'd have a real 2 party system, the Dems being their militaristic selves and the Greens for the rest of us. 20 yrs later, Europe's Greens are thriving while the US party became noxious. Thank you for this!!
